Patiesību sakot, es negribētu izvirzīt kādu noteiktu priekšlikumu vai piedāvājumu par kādu neatliekamu rīcību nākotnē. Ņemot vērā šī portāla dabu - to, ka mēs atrodamies Eiropas Savienības paspārnē un esam Eiropas savienības pilsoņi - viss ko es vēlētos ir vēlreiz apsveikt ne vien Eiropas, bet arī visas pasaules sabiedrību ar šo jauko notikumu: Pasaules Cilvēktiesību Dienu. Tamdēļ es no sirds gribētu, lai visi Eiropas savienības pilsoņi izglītotos vispārējas cieņas un taisnības gaisotnē. Lai cilvēki pasaulē un Eiropā turētu augstus demokrātijas ideālus un augsti vērtētu to brīvību, kuru mums piedāvā demokrātija. Un šodien būtu svarīgi vēlreiz akcentēt to, ka neviens cits izņemot mūs pašus rūpējas par šo pasauli. Un tikai mēs paši atveram citu sirdis cerībai un ticībai. Ticēsim draugi!
To be honest, I do not want to urge myself to bring here some very late proposal for common activities in the future or otherwise very special opinion on some future risks that we may avoid. But according to the nature of this domain - the issue that we are the citizens of the European Union and we find our place under the safest wing of the Union - all that I really want to is one more time to congratulate the community of Europe as well as the community of whole World with this beautiful event: World Human Rights Day. I know that we have our own legal act on human rights in Europe, but still we should not leave anyone behind. We are not alone in this Universe. Thus from the very depth of my heart, I would like to invite all citizens of the European Union to acquire knowledge in the atmosphere of universal dignity and the sense of common justice. So that people worldwide and in Europe would uphold high the ideals of democracy and the freedom that we have succeeded in democracy. And today it is of utmost importance one more time to lay the stress on this single matter - no one except ourselves shall take care about this World. And only we open other hearts to hope and belief. Be strong in faith friends!
